What's New

June 20, 2015

NOTE: If you have either of our camouflage barrel wraps, TWN04 for 75mm-armed vehicles or TWN05 for 17-pdr.-armed vehicles, please note that you must install the barrel wrap before attaching the muzzle brake. Our first sets of instructions forgot to mention this important consideration.

It's only a month to go until the  2015 IPMS-USA Nationals from July 22-25 in Columbus, Ohio, and we're working hard to get ready. We'll be launching a few new products there. If you're in Columbus at the convention, we hope you'll pop by and say hi if you're at either or both of them.

We've got one new product: TWN06, a 1/35 camouflage barrel wrap for the Comet. A single new review has been posted - Mark Glidden's review of TWN05 on AMPS. We've also added photos of Tim Greenley's D-Day diorama using TW002 and TW006 to our gallery page.

We'll have more reviews and gallery postings coming after the IPMS Nationals, and we'll be adding our new products to the site then as well.

Another AMPS has passed us, and as always we had a great time and really enjoyed meeting some old friends and making new ones. We saw a couple of models on the tables with our products on them, which is always a thrill. I'm not sure whether we'll be at next year's convention in Sumter, South Carolina, but we'll definitely be at the 2017 show in Danbury, Connecticut. In the meantime, we're ramping up for the 2015 IPMS-USA Nationals from July 22-25 in Columbus, Ohio. We'll be launching a few new products there. If you're in Columbus at the convention, we hope you'll pop by and say hi if you're at either or both of them. Also, a final reminder that the 2015 AMPS Great White North Show is coming up May 29-30 at the Oshawa Tank Museum in Oshawa, Ontario. It's a great show, with both models and real vehicles (including tanks) driving around throughout the day. I hope we'll see some of you there.

A single new review has been posted - Bill Goodrich's review of TW007 on Track-Link. Bill's just about finished his Bronco Land Wasser Schlepper, and we're looking forward to seeing it done.

Stay tuned - more reviews and gallery postings will be following in the near future, as well as our new product announcements.

Another year has gone by so quickly! We've got two big shows coming up for us to vend at: The 2015 AMPS International Convention is coming up on April 20-May 2 at the WW2 Victory Museum in Auburn, Indiana, and (a first for us) the 2015 IPMS-USA Nationals from July 22-25 in Columbus, Ohio. We're really excited about being at both of these shows, and we hope you'll pop by and say hi if you're at either or both of them. Another show I'd like to mention (we won't be vending there, because we'll be helping to run the show) is the 2015 AMPS Great White North Show, coming up May 29-30 at the Oshawa Tank Museum in Oshawa, Ontario. It's a great show, with both models and real vehicles (including tanks) driving around throughout the day. We have one new product right now - TW017, a set of fenders for the Italeri 1/35 Vosper MTB - but we're working on some others.

In our gallery, we have a few new entries, including: Hiroyuki Takeuchi`s beautiful 1/35 Sherman BARV with a variety of Thachweave products on it, including a custom bow bumper; a pair of Italeri 1/72 DUKWs from Martin Birtwhistle fitted with TW201; and Enrico Sbarbaro's tiny Academy 1/72 GPA with TW206 fitted. Thanks to all who have sent in photos - we really appreciate seeing our products in use.

Thank you for your support! We've had a great time meeting so many of you and are very proud to see models with our products on them. We look forward to helping you further improve your models.

We are long overdue for an update, but here we are. It was great to see folks at the 2014 AMPS International Show in Fredericksburg, Virginia a couple of weeks ago. We missed the 2013 show, so we really enjoyed being back at AMPS. We've got a number of new products available, some of which are branching out a bit from our traditional focus on amphibious vehicles. Our latest product is TWSB1, 1/35 sandbags. These are real cloth sandbags, complete with drawstrings, that you can fill yourself with plaster, sand, or whatever else you wish and then position them on a vehicle, create an emplacement, a levee, or anything else sandbags are used for (you can read Chuck Aleshire's review of them on the AMPS site here). We also have several new stowage items for 1/35 vehicles (especially Commonwealth WWII vehicles): TWN01, 1/35 Camouflage Net Stowage (Small) (Set of 2); TWN02, 1/35 Camouflage Net Stowage (Medium); TWN03, 1/35 Stowage Nets (Set of 2); TWN04, 1/35 Camouflage Barrel Wrap (75mm); and TWN05, 1/35 Camouflage Barrel Wrap (17 pdr.). In 1/48 scale, we have TW105, 1/48 square cargo net available. Finally, thanks to figuring out a way to make our cargo nets much more quickly without sacrificing quality, the prices for our 1/35 square cargo net (TW006) and 1/72 square cargo net (TW203) have been substantially reduced.
